Lately, I’ve been playing a bunch of indie horror games — stuff like Iron Lung, The Baby in Yellow, and That’s Not My Neighbor — and I’ve noticed something: they feel way more disturbing than some of the polished AAA scary games.
There’s something raw and unpredictable about indie horror. Maybe it’s the weird art styles, the strange pacing, or the fact that you never know what to expect. With big studio games, you get amazing graphics and solid gameplay, but sometimes they feel… safe?
What do you all think? Are indie scary games actually more terrifying than their big-budget counterparts? Or is it just about personal taste?
